SIM Box Fraud (On-Net)
International Bypass Fraud or SIM Box Fraud is still one of the most common and most revenue damaging types of fraud for telecom operators worldwide. Traditional methods of detection are not effective in stopping this type of fraud. Telecom Operators need to equip themselves with more pro-active systems that will achieve real-time detection and prevention.
SIM Box Fraud (Off-Net)
Fraudsters take advantage of running fraud operations located in an Off-Net telecom network, over which the terminating operator has little control. What are the options for the terminating operator then? What controls can be put in place to combat this growing trend of SIM Box Fraud?
OTT Hijack
Telecom Operators are facing the issue of fraudsters hijacking legitimate international GSM calls and routing them through popular Over-The-Top apps. Through this method, the terminating operator is completely bypassed and the call is terminated via the Internet through one of the OTT apps.
